Urban Nomads is more or less a one man show, so directing is part of the job as well, although it is a way easier approach than fiction features, where sets are arranged due to story boards. Being prepared and knowing the next step in advance, is the key.

You need to know the background of who or what you are filming and have the answer to your questions, while you are asking them. You need to have a rough structure of the plot in mind.

Nevertheless you always have to expect the unexpected, because turns and thrills just happen, you need to jump in and keep the camera rolling, whatever it takes.
